SUPPORTED SCAFFOLD TRAINING Chapter 33 of the New York City (NYC) Building Code requires anyone who works on a supported scaffold to complete an initial 4-hour Scaffold User course and then an approved 4-hour Refresher Course every 4 years. This course fulfills that requirement. Those who complete this course will have knowledge of scaffold hazards, fall protection, and safe work practices.
Chapter 33 of the New York City Building Code requires anyone who has the responsibility of erecting and/or dismantling supported scaffolds more than 40 feet high to complete an initial approved 32-hour training course. These courses are designed to meet those requirements and an 8-hour refresher course every 4 years thereafter.
SITE SAFETY MANAGER TRAINING This course is one of the pre-requisites an applicant must successfully complete before being eligible to apply for the Site Safety Manager Certificate Examination. In addition, this course fulfills the training course requirements for Site Safety Coordinator and Construction Superintendent Certification in New York City.
SITE SAFETY MANAGER REFRESHER The NYC Department of Buildings requires individuals who have a Site Safety Manager's license to complete a 7-hour refresher course on construction site safety every three years. This course also serves as an excellent awareness course for all individuals working on construction or demolition projects in NYC.
CONCRETE SAFETY MANAGER A Concrete Safety Manager (CSM) must be present on all major buildings during the concrete portion of the project. CSMs must have completed a 30-hour concrete safety manager course approved by the Buildings Department within the 5 years before registration.

10 AND 30 HOUR CONSTRUCTION SAFETY TRAINING

This  Construction Outreach safety course was developed by the U.S. Department of Labor to provide construction workers, supervisors, and other personnel responsible for construction activities with an awareness of construction health and safety concerns in the construction industry. All attendees will become familiar with reading and using the OSHA 29CFR 1926 Construction Standards. Other OSHA related regulations will also be discussed. Students will receive an update and review of standard construction safety and health principles and information that will prepare them to recognize and control a variety of hazardous conditions. 

NYC Law requires all workers on Major Buildings to retake a 10-Hour OSHA training course every 5 years.

FDNY CONSTRUCTION SITE FIRE SAFETY MANAGER

This  course includes an introduction to the Fire Code and Fire Department Rules, including their organization and terminology, Fire Code construction site provisions (FC Chapter 14 and 3 RCNY Chapter 14), Chapter 14, Section 1408, and all construction site fire safety manager requirements, as set forth in 3 RCNY 1401(c). Upon conclusion of this training, all participants who successfully pass the course exam will receive a certificate of completion and verification letter for Construction Site Fire Safety Training. Once completed, students will be eligible to take the FDNY exam for FSM S-56.

ADDITIONAL TRAINING:

FLAGGER TRAINING

This course trains all individuals in safe flagging techniques specific to New York regulations. The topics discussed in this course will provide a  thorough understanding of flagging procedures,  proper use of required equipment, flagging skills from hands-on training, classroom activities, and coordination of traffic movement through the work zone. Students will receive a full color, waterproof picture ID card, each with its own individual assigned number to prove its authenticity.
