For 12 consecutive years, fall protection ranks as OSHA’s top citation. In 2020, there were 351 fatal falls to a lower level out of 1,008 construction fatalities according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Some effective ways for eliminating fall accidents are:

Train – Train every worker in fall protection and how to use fall protection equipment.
Plan – Make sure that you plan for a project ahead of time to discuss
risks and how to eliminate them.
Provisions – Providing the right equipment for the
job is critical.

Site Safety URGES everyone to get trained in fall
protection. As part of raising awareness of fall accidents, Site Safety recently conducted free fall protection courses to workers.
