Watchperson at Construction Sites

Description

The S-60 Certificate of Fitness is required for a watch person at any construction site having a footprint of between 5,000 square feet and 40,000 square feet. The watchperson must be on duty at the site during all hours when operations are not in progress.

Objectives

This course prepares students for the F-60 Fireguard for Torch Operations C of F exam.

Smoking prohibition
FDNY Connections
Standpipe system and alarm system
First Responder Box
Hazardous materials
Waste disposal
Portable fueled heating devices.
Elevator in readiness
Site security and general housekeeping
Fire Extinguishers

Course Materials

This course consists of several different components which include power point presentations, lecture, real life case studies, class discussion and hands on demonstration. Students must bring picture ID to the class.
